Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

This pork roast cooked in a crockpot is one of my husband's favorite slow cooker meals. I usually serve it with buttered egg noodles and sugar snap peas.

Ingreadients :

  • 1 cup hot water
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 ½ pounds boneless pork loin roast

Step by Step :

  1.
  2. Gather all ingredients.
  3. Mix water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and hot sauce together in a bowl.
  4. Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of a slow cooker.
  5. Place roast on onions and pour sauce over top.
  6. Cover and cook until pork is slightly pink in the center, on Low for 6 to 8 hours or High for 3 to 4 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  7. Enjoy!
